Student project with open frame touch monitor

We have supported two students of a technical Gymnasium (institute of advanced secondary education) in their seminar course project focused on information technology. The project concentrated on the development of a voice command with the codeword “Minerva”.
The students received extensive hardware support in the form of the most up-to-date 10.1 inch open frame monitor (model: 12016050, EP101WAD131-1-PCAP-U-DM). In doing so, the monitor provided a platform for the visualisation of the project and enabled the display of music titles, as well as cover images from the music-streaming platform Spotify.
A great benefit to the students was in the fact that they could integrate the product into the implementation phase from the outset and integrate it into the project housing, which is currently in development and will soon be implemented. Particularly impressive was the precise touch functionality of the monitor, which provided the students with a quick and easy configuration of their speech assistant via the in-house developed graphic user interface (GUI). The project created a lot of interest among the other students, teachers and DATA MODUL, so much so that they are considering an application to “Jugend forscht” to present their work to a wider audience.
We are investing in the future with supporting up-and-coming talents and providing them with the opportunity to further develop their technical abilities.
