Strategic purchasing manager (m/f/d)

DATA MODUL is one of the world's leading specialist suppliers of professional, industrial display, touch, embedded, monitor and panel PC solutions. To strengthen our Procurement Team at our company subsidiaries in Lublin, we are looking for you at the earliest time as Strategic Purchasing Manager (m/f/d).

Vertrieb DATA MODUL

Your tasks:

  • Definition and implementation of the purchasing strategy for the assigned area
  • Supplier management for mechanical components and assemblies including contract negotiations
  • Optimization of supplier base and qualification of new suppliers
  • Supplier development in close cooperation with Supplier Quality Management
  • Price negotiations for mechanical components and assemblies
  • Active management of purchasing activities within the scope of development projects up to series release
  • Commercial and logistical support for development 
  • Support of operational purchasing in case of supply problems
  • Continuous optimization of purchasing processes

Your profile:

  • Completed technical training with further commercial training or commercial apprenticeship
  • Several years of professional experience in technical/strategic purchasing of mechanical components, preferably in sheet metal processing or injection moulded parts
  • Experience in the use of an enterprise resource planning system is an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Precise and careful working methods as well as strong communication skills and organizational talent
  • Strategic way of thinking and high ability to work in a team
  • High degree of initiative, reliability and commitment
  • Very fluent written and spoken English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally on business
