DATA MODUL and Plan International Germany: Working together for a better future

The partnership between DATA MODUL and Plan International Germany has been in place since December 2022 and has already made significant progress for children in need during this period. One example of this is the ‘Prevent malnutrition! Phase II’ project in Cambodia, which DATA MODUL supported in December 2022 with an initial donation of 5,000 euros. The project measures implemented in the period from November 2020 to December 2023 achieved impressive results:

• Early childhood development: Over 1,700 parents and carers took part in training courses on healthy nutrition and early childhood development.
• Education infrastructure: The construction of 25 new preschools and the renovation of existing facilities created better learning environments for children.
• Health and hygiene: Around 4,763 children received medical check-ups, while access to clean water and improved sanitary facilities in 3,000 households significantly improved living conditions.

Beate Junker, CFO of DATA MODUL, emphasises: ‘It is very important to us to take responsibility and it fills us with pride that we were able to make a small contribution to improving the living conditions of children and their families with our donations. The results in Cambodia show how much we can achieve together. With our current donation to the emergency relief fund, we would like to send a further signal of solidarity and unbureaucratic help. The fund makes it possible to provide urgently needed goods in acute emergency situations such as natural disasters or conflicts – from drinking water and food to hygiene articles and emergency shelters. Together with Plan International, we want to continue to work for positive change in the future and offer children a perspective for tomorrow.’
