DATA MODUL focus in Nuremberg: Low Power and High Performance

Press Release
Hardware

This year at embedded world, we are highlighting the topic of reducing energy costs in combination with high performance. Three new products on this topic will also be presented at the DATA MODUL stand 368 in hall 1.

Low power

Low power highlights at a glance

28.5” Stretched Cholesteric Reflective LCD
This display functions purely on the basis of ambient light and is not operated with a backlight, as is the case with conventional displays. The stretched 32:09 panel format is specially designed for outdoor/rugged applications and has an extremely high temperature range of -30 to +85 degrees. The display itself has a power consumption of just approx. 8 watts (only when changing content) - and is therefore ideal for outdoor applications where the power supply may be limited.

10” Portrait Mode Reflective Touch Display
This high-resolution, reflective display (1200 x 1600 pixels) utilises the available ambient light and is therefore ideal for devices with a low power supply. In low light, an integrated frontlight can be switched on, ensuring optimum readability even in darker environments - and consuming significantly less energy than conventional TFT modules with backlighting. The display is complemented by a PCAP touch sensor, which enables seamless integration into existing applications.

31.5” Full Colour E-Paper
The new 31.5” full colour e-paper display impresses with its particularly low energy consumption and excellent presentation of images and text. Thanks to its energy-efficient design and seamless integration into cloud-based hardware and software solutions, content can be easily managed and updated. These features make the display ideal for digital signage and smart retail applications.

The topic of low power continues to be highly topical and we will be presenting a wide range of products and application examples in Nuremberg.

Further information on the exhibits can be found from 11 to 13 March at our DATA MODUL booth in hall 1- 368
