DATA MODUL further expands its range of robust displays

TFTs in Toppan/Ortustech's patented Blanview technology for environments in extreme cold/heat are specified with a wide temperature range: -30 to +85°C, and a storage temperature of -40 to +95°C. The technology stands for good readability and high brightness, as the requirements for sunlight readability and vibration resistance are particularly high in heavy-duty applications. The mechanical design is also optimised to prevent damage in terms of shock and vibration and can withstand shocks of up to 6.8 G.

Ruggedised TFTs from Toppan/Ortustech are available in three sizes in landscape format: a 4.3“ display with 480x272 resolution and RGB interface, as well as 5.0“ and 7.0“ displays, each with 800x480 resolution and LVDS interfaces. A wide viewing angle, high luminosity and very good contrast rates allow the TFTs to be used in a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications, as well as for stationary and mobile applications. Blanview technology is characterised by low power consumption and consequently minimal heat generation, making it ideal for battery-powered applications.

In order to guarantee long-term operation of the TFTs under extreme loads, the quality of the displays is repeatedly tested in a series of procedures, including reliability and vibration tests in the climate chamber.
