Touch display meets physical wheel - for convenient & safe interaction
We are happy to announce that we can now offer AUO displays on Tartan technology basis. Until now, LCD displays had to be cut and sealed elaborately afterwards for the development of a customised display in special format. The biggest advantage of Tartan is that display formats are directly custom-made and don’t have to be cut to size afterwards.
Thanks to this process, completely new design options are available in terms of display formats and shapes (round, square, stretched) without the need to create a new photo mask/cell. Especially for applications where individual and demanding product designs are required, this type of display can be used to efficiently realize a wide range of industrial usage.
For example, in the sector of passenger information or in transportation only limited installation space is available for displays. For those applications, special display formats for an efficient and visually appealing implementation are particularly in demand.
Depending on customer requirements, Tartan displays offer brightness values between 500 and 2500nits and an average temperature range of 0°C to 60°C. Availability is five years (according to the manufacturer).
