Face recognition & detection for monitors and panel PCs

Convince yourself of our competence in the field of modern system expansion. We offer numerous practical and innovative extensions with which monitor and panel PC solutions can be equipped. If desired, they can for example be equipped with a camera and an appropriate software, to enable “face recognition” or “face detection”. The captured image material is evaluated in order to subsequently execute predefined actions. The use of face detection can be particularly advantageous for the recognition of persons, e.g. at entrance controls. Possible fraud attempts can be prevented thanks to the so-called "Anti Spoofing" feature. In this case, the system is able to distinguish precisely whether only a photo of a person or a real person is being captured.

Regarding our embedded solutions, we offer hardware with already integrated AI accelerators that support "deep learning" both via cloud solutions and locally on the embedded system. These accelerators offer the advantage that they reduce the load on the CPU of the embedded system and at the same time shorten the "sense-time", the time required to recognise or identify a face.

Other characteristics that can be evaluated by means of camera-based face detection are, for example, age, gender or even the state of mind of a person. In this way, target group-specific content can be displayed. Especially in the area of digital signage or at the POS/POI, these functions can not only offer real advantages for the user and ensure more attention, but also provide valuable insights for the operators and significantly increase efficiency.
