Successful participation in the innovation competition TOP 100

This year marked the 30th edition of the company comparison. For this anniversary, 550 companies applied for the award - more than ever before. 300 companies prevailed (maximum 100 per size category) and received the TOP 100 Seal 2023 at the beginning of the year. During the German SME Summit at the Kongress am Park in Augsburg, Ranga Yogeshwar personally congratulated the top innovators on their success. "The old philosophy of 'close your eyes and get on with it' no longer helps in the face of the many challenges. What is required is a completely different, new kind of thinking: Open your eyes and have the courage to change! The TOP 100 in particular have the best basis for this, since they are small and agile, can decide directly and react flexibly," he says on the occasion of this honour.

Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team examined the management and success of innovation by the applicants on the basis of more than 100 criteria within a science-based selection procedure in five categories. Central to this analysis is whether a company approaches innovation work in a planned manner and, for example, establishes appropriate innovation-friendly structures and framework conditions in-house. In all five categories, DATA MODUL was rated above average in size category C (more than 200 employees) and was able to stand out from the competition, especially in the section "Innovative processes and organisation".
