We are adding transparent TFT displays by Japan Display Inc. (JDI) in the sizes 12.3-inch and 20.8-inch to our product portfolio. The innovative Rælclear displays offer an exceptionally high degree of transmission enabling almost undistorted transparency and clear legibility of the content from both sides, comparable to normal window glass. These features open up new application options, especially in the field of special applications.
New options in the field of special applications
The displays could be used as visual translation monitors in many public institutions, such as embassies and residents’ registration offices, to make it easier for staff and visitors who do not speak the language to communicate with each other, for example when processing applications. The selected language appears simultaneously on both sides of the display, making the additional involvement of a translator unnecessary. The displays could also facilitate international communication between medical staff and patients in hospitals and surgeries and serve as a supportive solution for people with hearing impairments.
